Thinking, writing and talking about
media & technology
Double Shot was founded in the autumn of 2007 by Sarah Turner and Simon Hopkins, who have between them over 40 years' experience in the new media, broadcasting, policy-making, education and arts & entertainment sectors. In September 2008 Sarah & Simon were joined by long-term associate Justin Spooner as the third DS Director.
We provide consultancy on all things digital; we hold strong opinions and stick to 'em, telling our clients what we think... not what we think they want to hear. We also develop websites or, as we prefer, "stuff" and “things”, because we like to. We work with broadcasters, universities, economic development agencies, production companies arts & cultural organisations.
Our clients include:
- The City of London
- BBC Training & Development
- The Royal Opera House, London
- The Barbican Centre, London
- City Fringe Partnership
- Sir Ken Robinson
- London Sinfonietta
- The Institute of Digital Innovation, Middlesbrough
- Outline TV Productions, London
- Instrata, Cambridge
- Technology Prince Edward Island, Canada
Our ethos is “the buzz without the buzz words”. We provide - ahem - full-strength service to our clients in clear English. Don't just take our word for it. Here's what some of our clients say.
We also work with a network of specialist designers, software developers, and other consultants with specific areas of interest and expertise.
